Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using DevKit by CodesEasy ("DevKit", "the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not download, install, or use DevKit.

License Grant

DevKit by CodesEasy grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, install, and use DevKit for personal and commercial development purposes, subject to the following conditions:

  • You may install DevKit on any number of devices you own or control
  • You may use DevKit for personal projects, commercial projects, educational purposes, and professional development
  • You may not redistribute, sublicense, sell, or rent DevKit to any third party
  • You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble DevKit

Permitted Use

DevKit is provided as a local development environment. You may use DevKit for:

  • Local PHP web application development
  • Testing and debugging PHP applications
  • Learning and educational purposes
  • Personal and commercial development projects
  • Database development and management

Prohibited Use

You may NOT use DevKit for:

  • Production Hosting: DevKit is not designed or secured for production use. Do not use DevKit to host live, publicly accessible websites or applications
  • Malicious Activities: Developing malware, viruses, or any harmful software
  • Illegal Activities: Any activity that violates local, state, national, or international laws
  • Unauthorized Access: Hacking, penetration testing, or unauthorized access to systems you do not own or have permission to test
  • Spam or Abuse: Sending spam, phishing emails, or engaging in abusive behavior

Bundled Software & Third-Party Components

DevKit bundles several open-source components, each subject to their own licenses:

  • PHP 8.4: Licensed under PHP License v3.01
  • MariaDB 11.8: Licensed under GNU GPL v2
  • Nginx 1.28: Licensed under 2-clause BSD License
  • Redis 7.2: Licensed under BSD 3-Clause License
  • Composer 2.x: Licensed under MIT License
  • phpMyAdmin 5.2: Licensed under GNU GPL v2

All bundled software components remain subject to their original licenses. DevKit by CodesEasy does not modify or claim ownership of these components.

Disclaimer of Warranties

DevKit is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

CodesEasy does NOT warrant that:

  • DevKit will meet your specific requirements
  • DevKit will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from using DevKit will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in DevKit will be corrected

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall CodesEasy, its directors, employees, partners, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or profits
  • Business interruption
  • System failures or crashes
  • Security breaches
  • Any other damages arising from the use or inability to use DevKit

This limitation applies even if CodesEasy has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Security & Development Use Only

IMPORTANT: DevKit is configured for development convenience, not production security.

  • Default MySQL root password is empty (no password)
  • Services bind to localhost only but may be exposed if misconfigured
  • Error reporting is enabled for debugging purposes
  • No SSL/TLS encryption is configured by default
  • Firewall rules are not configured

You acknowledge and accept these security limitations. CodesEasy is NOT responsible for any security breaches, data loss, or unauthorized access resulting from misuse of DevKit in production environments.

System Requirements & Compatibility

DevKit is provided for specific operating systems (Linux, Windows). CodesEasy makes no guarantee that DevKit will work on all systems or configurations. You are responsible for ensuring your system meets the minimum requirements.

Updates & Support

CodesEasy may, at its discretion, provide updates, bug fixes, or new versions of DevKit. However, CodesEasy is under no obligation to provide:

  • Technical support
  • Software updates or patches
  • Bug fixes or feature requests
  • Compatibility with future operating systems

Any support or updates provided are at CodesEasy's sole discretion.

Data Collection & Privacy

When you download DevKit, we collect anonymized usage statistics as described in our Privacy Policy. The DevKit application itself does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data.

Intellectual Property

DevKit's name, logo, branding, and packaging are the intellectual property of CodesEasy. The bundled open-source components retain their original copyrights and licenses.

You may not:

  • Use the "DevKit" name or logo for your own products
  • Claim ownership of DevKit or its components
  • Rebrand or redistribute DevKit under a different name

Termination

This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any of these terms. Upon termination, you must:

  • Cease all use of DevKit
  • Uninstall DevKit from all devices
  • Delete all copies of DevKit in your possession

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kochi, Kerala, India.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Changes to Terms

CodesEasy reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of DevKit after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CodesEasy regarding DevKit and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
